Zenith Bank to Spotlight Women’s Empowerment at 2026 IWD Event

Zenith Bank Plc is set to mark the 2026 International Women’s Day with a seminar aimed at promoting women’s leadership and empowerment.

The event will hold on Monday, March 9, 2026, at The Civic Centre in Victoria Island, Lagos.

This year’s seminar is themed “Take It, You Own It,” and aligns with the global International Women’s Day theme, “Give to Gain,” which highlights the importance of investing in women to achieve lasting progress.

According to the bank, the theme reflects its belief that while organisations must create opportunities and supportive systems for women, women themselves must also step forward to take advantage of those opportunities and lead with confidence.

The programme builds on the success of previous editions, including the 2025 seminar themed “Winning On All Fronts,” and is expected to bring together women leaders, professionals, entrepreneurs, and young talents from different sectors.

Participants will engage in discussions on leadership, career development, wellbeing, and collaboration.

Speaking ahead of the event, the Group Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Zenith Bank, Adaora Umeoji, said International Women’s Day serves as a reminder that meaningful progress requires deliberate action.

She noted that while institutions must create real opportunities, women must also be willing to step forward and take ownership of their growth and leadership roles.

The seminar will feature keynote speeches, panel discussions, question-and-answer sessions, and other interactive segments designed to inspire and empower participants.

Zenith Bank says the event will provide a platform for dialogue, learning, and collaboration, while reinforcing the role of women in shaping businesses, communities, and society.
