The presidential candidate of the Democratic Leadership Alliance (DLA), Moses Adebisi, says he is confident of becoming Nigeria’s youngest president if elected in the 2027 general election.
Adebisi, 35, made the declaration during an interview on Arise Television on Thursday.
The DLA candidate, who said he is pursuing a PhD in Government, Political Thought and History in the United States, said he entered the presidential race after Nigerians encouraged him to move from empowerment initiatives into active politics.
According to him, his experience running empowerment and digital literacy programmes across several states convinced him that politics offered a greater opportunity to address Nigeria’s challenges.
Adebisi also said he had travelled to China and the United States to study the political and economic reforms that shaped both countries.
He expressed confidence that he could defeat President Bola Tinubu and the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2027 election, claiming that the DLA had quietly built structures across the country.
Adebisi called on Nigerian youths to support his movement and take a more active role in shaping the country’s political future.
