Katsina Records 80% Drop in Security Threats, Says Governor Radda

Katsina State Governor, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, has highlighted his administration’s achievements in Sabuwa Local Government Area, claiming an estimated 80 percent reduction in security threats across the state.

He made the disclosure on Thursday during the Tinubu-Dikko 2027 campaign rally in Sabuwa, where residents turned out to show support for the governor and the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Governor Radda said his administration had renovated secondary schools, upgraded healthcare facilities and introduced youth empowerment programs in the area.

He also pledged to sustain development projects in Sabuwa town, Unguwar Iya, Sayyawa and Tashan Bawa, particularly in infrastructure, education and healthcare.

On security, the governor attributed the reported reduction in threats to measures introduced by his administration and pledged to sustain efforts to protect lives and property.

The Director-General of the Tinubu-Dikko 2027 Campaign Council, Ahmed Musa Dangiwa, commended residents for their turnout and promised that ongoing and pending projects, particularly critical link roads, would be completed.

Dangiwa said the projects were designed to connect communities, improve transportation and boost commercial activities.

The state APC Chairman, Bishir Gambo Saulawa, and Senator representing Funtua Senatorial District, Muntari Dandutse, also commended the governor’s performance and pledged continued support for the party.

Meanwhile, candidates for the Kankara, Sabuwa and Faskari Federal Constituency and Sabuwa State Constituency, Hamza Sule and Ibrahim Kaka, respectively, called for stronger collaboration between the state government and elected representatives to accelerate development.

After the rally, Governor Radda commissioned the remodelled Sabuwa Local Government Lodge, renovated by the council chairman.

The event was attended by Deputy Governor Faruk Lawal, former Deputy Governor Mustapha Inuwa, political appointees, APC leaders and community stakeholders.
