Every Ward Has a Say in Development Projects, Governor Radda Says

Katsina State Governor, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda has said his administration’s Community Development Programme (CDP) allows every electoral ward to identify and prioritize projects based on its development needs.

Governor Radda stated this on Saturday during a visit to traditional rulers and community leaders at the palace of the Sarkin Rafin Katsina in Mairuwa, Faskari Local Government Area, as part of his Tinubu/Dikko 2027 campaign engagements.

He said the program involves local stakeholders and religious leaders in selecting projects that directly address the needs of their communities.

“Development is more effective when it addresses the actual needs of the people,” he said.

Governor Radda explained that the visit was also to seek the blessings, advice, and continued support of traditional rulers ahead of the campaign engagements.

He commended traditional institutions for their contributions to peacebuilding and governance while calling for sustained support for the Federal and Katsina State governments.

The Sarkin Rafin Katsina, Alhaji Sani Idris Sambo, welcomed the governor and commended his administration for maintaining regular engagement with traditional rulers.

Also speaking, the Faskari Local Government Chairman, Surajo Aliyu, praised the traditional ruler for supporting peacebuilding efforts, particularly engagements with communities in forest areas.

The visit was attended by Deputy Governor Faruk Lawal Jobe, Secretary to the State Government Abdullahi Garba Faskari, Tinubu/Dikko Campaign Director-General Ahmed Musa Dangiwa, APC officials, commissioners, traditional rulers, and other government representatives.
