Zenith Bank Plc has renewed its sponsorship of ART X Lagos, supporting the 11th edition of the international art fair scheduled to hold from November 5 to 8, 2026, in Lagos.

The bank returns as a Silver Sponsor, building on its partnership with the fair’s 10th-anniversary edition in 2025.
Founded by Tokini Peterside-Schwebig in 2016, ART X Lagos showcases contemporary art from Africa and its diaspora, bringing together artists, galleries, collectors, and other stakeholders in the creative industry.
The 2026 edition, themed A New Chapter, A New Decade, will explore how African cultural heritage and history can inspire contemporary artistic expression.
As part of its sponsorship, Zenith Bank will support two major programs: ART X ICON and The Masterclass.
ART X ICON will honor the legacy of pioneering Nigerian potter Ladi Dosei Kwali through an exhibition titled Ladi Kwali: Beyond the Vessel. Curated by Dr. Jareh Das, the exhibition will feature her ceramics, archival materials, and works by other traditional Nigerian potters.
The Masterclass will bring together 10 emerging artists from different creative disciplines to engage with established practitioners and explore the relationship between traditional art and contemporary practice.
Speaking on the partnership, Zenith Bank’s Group Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Dame Dr. Adaora Umeoji, said the bank recognizes the importance of preserving Nigeria’s cultural heritage while investing in emerging creative talents.
She added that the partnership reflects the bank’s commitment to supporting initiatives that promote African artistic excellence and strengthen the creative economy.
ART X Lagos Founder and Director, Tokini Peterside-Schwebig, also welcomed the continued partnership, describing sponsors such as Zenith Bank as important to sustaining the fair’s vision and creating opportunities for African creativity to thrive globally.
Other highlights of the 2026 edition will include ART X Cinema, ART X Live!, ART X Talks, Art Across Borders, and the Schools’ Programme.
The four-day event will take place at the Federal Palace, Victoria Island, Lagos.
