France head coach Zinédine Zidane has named Kylian Mbappé, Ousmane Dembélé, Adrien Rabiot, and Jules Koundé as his four-man leadership group.
Mbappé will retain the captain’s armband, a position Zidane confirmed last week after taking over from Didier Deschamps.
According to L’Équipe, Dembélé, Rabiot, and Koundé will serve as vice-captains, with the selection based largely on their number of appearances for France.
Mbappé has 106 caps, followed by Dembélé with 67, Rabiot with 66, and Koundé with 56.
Zidane was appointed France coach in July on a four-year contract following Deschamps’ departure after the 2026 World Cup.
His first competitive matches in charge are in the UEFA Nations League, starting with an away game against Türkiye on September 25.
