Troops of Operation HADIN KAI have arrested two suspected terrorist informants and cattle rustlers during a joint operation at Buni Yadi Friday Market in Gujba Local Government Area of Yobe State.

The operation, carried out around 2:00 p.m. on July 24, involved troops of the 27 Task Force Brigade working alongside local hunters based on intelligence reports.
The suspects, identified as Muhammadu Sani, 32, from Biu LGA of Borno State, and Buba Umaru, 40, from Fune LGA of Yobe State, were apprehended after one of them reportedly attacked a hunter with a cutlass while resisting arrest. The hunter sustained serious head injuries and received immediate treatment.
Security sources said preliminary findings indicate that Sani confessed to working as a logistics supplier and informant for Boko Haram for nearly seven years. He allegedly helped guide insurgents to targets, leading to cattle rustling in affected communities.
The suspects are currently in military custody as investigations continue to determine the full scope of their activities.
Officials say the arrest highlights the importance of community collaboration and intelligence-sharing in tackling insurgency in the North-East.
