Gunmen have abducted a Kebbi State High Court judge, Justice Faruku Hassan Bunza, from his residence in Bunza Local Government Area.
The incident occurred on Sunday night at his home along Zogirma Road, shortly after he returned from a trip to Sokoto.
According to reports, the attackers stormed the residence and fired sporadically before taking the judge away. No injuries were reported among other occupants of the house.
A source familiar with the incident confirmed that the assailants operated swiftly and left the scene immediately after the abduction.
The Police Public Relations Officer for the Kebbi State Command, SP Bashir Usman, has confirmed the incident. Authorities say efforts are ongoing to secure the judge’s release and apprehend those responsible.
