Toluwanisings’ Widow Weeps Amid Burial Dispute

The widow of late gospel singer Olayemi Bayonile Bolaji, popularly known as Toluwanisings, broke down in tears while paying tribute to her husband at a service of songs in Ibadan, Oyo State.

Akanbi Elizabeth became emotional during the event held on Tuesday, October 27, 2026, at the Hall of Grace, Jogor Centre.

“Toluwanisings, my dear husband, I will forever miss you. Please don’t forget your children and me,” she said.

The event attracted several gospel artistes and entertainment personalities, including Bidemi Olaoba, Laolu Gbenjo, Yinka Alaseyori and actress Bimbo Oshin.

Elizabeth’s emotional tribute came amid a dispute between her and her late husband’s family over his burial arrangements.

Reports indicate that the singer’s father wants him buried at his residence in Ibadan or in his hometown of Ikirun, Osun State, while Elizabeth reportedly prefers a cemetery or church burial ground.

The disagreement has intensified following calls by the singer’s paternal family for an investigation into the circumstances of his death and a suspension of the planned burial.

Toluwanisings died on October 14, 2026, after reportedly collapsing at his residence in Ibadan.
