AY Seeks Refunds for Fans After Cardiff Show Disruption

Nigerian comedian and actor Ayo Makun, popularly known as AY, has apologized to fans after a payment dispute with event organizers disrupted his comedy show in Cardiff, United Kingdom.

The show, tagged AY Live: Single and Not Searching, was scheduled for Sunday, October 25, at Valegate Retail Park in Cardiff. Many attendees reportedly waited for hours before leaving without seeing the advertised performances.

In a statement shared on social media on Monday, AY said he and other comedians travelled to the venue but could not perform because of unresolved payment commitments.

He said the outstanding balance for their appearance had remained unpaid despite assurances from the organizers that payment would be made.

The comedian apologized to disappointed fans, saying they deserved better organization and timely communication and should not have been caught in the middle of a payment dispute.

AY called on the organisers and the UK tour management to provide a clear resolution for affected ticket holders, including information on refunds. He said further updates would be shared through his official channels.

Meanwhile, AY said the remaining UK tour dates in Birmingham on October 30, London on October 31, and Manchester on November 1, were still scheduled to hold.
