Tinubu to Commission Akwa Ibom Projects, Attend Rivers APC Rally

President Bola Tinubu will on Friday, November 6, begin a two-day visit to Akwa Ibom and Rivers states, where he is expected to commission infrastructure projects and attend All Progressives Congress (APC) campaign activities ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Tinubu will first visit Uyo, the Akwa Ibom State capital, to commission projects executed by Governor Umo Eno’s administration and attend a political rally in support of his re-election bid.

The President’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, announced the visit in a statement on Thursday.

Projects scheduled for inauguration include the International Terminal Building, Airport Hospital, and Aviation Village at Victor Attah International Airport.

Others are the Airport-Okopedi Road, Ring Road 3, AKWA-GIS Office Complex, Command and Control Centre, and ARISE Palm Resort.

Ahead of the visit, Governor Eno declared Friday a work-free day to allow residents to participate in the President’s reception.

Tinubu will travel to Port Harcourt, Rivers State, on Saturday, November 7, to attend an APC presidential campaign rally.

The rally will be his second appearance at an APC campaign event since he flagged off his re-election campaign in Kaduna on October 24.

The visits form part of the ruling party’s mobilization efforts ahead of the 2027 general elections.
