Spain defeated Argentina 1–0 after extra time to win the 2026 FIFA World Cup, with Ferran Torres scoring the decisive goal in New Jersey.

The victory also saw teenage duo Lamine Yamal and Pau Cubarsí make history. Both players, aged 19, became part of a rare group of teenagers to start a World Cup final and go on to lift the trophy.
They join an exclusive list that includes Brazilian legend Pelé, Italy’s Giuseppe Bergomi, and France star Kylian Mbappé.
Spain dominated much of the final and sealed the win in extra time, securing their second World Cup title and their first since 2010.
