Nigerian singer Seyi Vibez has deleted social media posts targeting celebrity chef Hilda Baci, days after her lawyers threatened legal action over the alleged defamatory remarks.

Hilda’s lawyers, Olaniwun Ajayi LP, in a letter dated August 15, demanded that the singer remove the posts, issue a public apology and retraction, and undertake not to repeat or circulate similar allegations.
The lawyers also accused Seyi Vibez of making false and malicious claims about Hilda, saying the posts had attracted millions of views and led to abusive messages against her.
Seyi Vibez deleted the posts following the legal warning but, as of Thursday, had not issued the requested public apology.
The controversy began after the singer commented on an ongoing dispute involving his former label, Dapper Music, and allegations concerning more than ₦1 billion in royalties and catalogue-related funds.
Seyi Vibez, who was previously signed to Dapper Music, dragged Hilda Baci into the dispute through posts on X, making allegations about her and the alleged use of catalogue proceeds. The claims have not been independently verified.
Seyi Vibez left Dapper Music in 2024 and subsequently identified himself as an independent artist.
