Nollywood actress and producer Ruth Kadiri has dismissed speculation that she is deliberately hiding her husband from the public.
Kadiri, speaking on the Dear Ife podcast, said her husband, Mr Ezerika, is not a secret and that they regularly attend events and go to church together.
She explained that people may not recognise him because he prefers to stay out of the spotlight.
“My husband is not a secret. People who know me know my husband. We go almost everywhere together and they post his pictures. It is just that people don’t know him,” she said.
Kadiri also revealed that she initially kept her marriage private because she had a fear of marriage and was uncertain about whether the union would succeed.
She said the decision was mutual with her husband and helped them avoid unnecessary public scrutiny and drama.
The couple married in a private ceremony in November 2018 and welcomed their first daughter in August 2019 and their second in July 2022.
