President Bola Tinubu has urged the West African College of Physicians (WACP) to develop practical solutions to the migration of doctors and other health professionals from Nigeria and neighbouring countries.

President Tinubu made the call on Thursday at the State House in Abuja after receiving an honorary fellowship from the college, according to reports by Channels Television and the Presidency.
He warned that the departure of skilled medical professionals was putting pressure on healthcare systems and limiting access to essential medical services.
The President urged the college to use its forthcoming golden jubilee and annual scientific meeting to develop sustainable measures to address the problem.
The WACP is marking its 50th anniversary with a meeting in Abuja from October 26 to 28, bringing together medical professionals to discuss healthcare delivery, specialist training and other challenges facing the region.
