The Anambra State Police Command has arrested a 36-year-old content creator, Anulika Onyeanusia, over alleged child pornography and abuse.
The arrest followed the circulation of videos on social media allegedly showing the suspect involving minors in sexually explicit activities.
Police spokesperson SP Tochukwu Ikenga said in a statement on Thursday that operatives arrested Onyeanusia in Onitsha and rescued four children aged two, three, six, and nine.
Several sex toys and other items believed to be relevant to the investigation were also recovered.
Ikenga said the suspect remains in police custody as investigators probe the circumstances surrounding the alleged offences and possible involvement of other persons.
He added that the suspect’s husband was also being questioned to determine whether he had any connection to the case.
The police said the investigation is ongoing.
