Owan-Enoh Charges Cross River APC to Win All 18 LGAs in 2027

Minister of State for Industry Senator John Owan-Enoh has urged the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Cross River State to win all 18 local government areas in the 2027 general elections.

Owan-Enoh gave the charge on Sunday in Calabar during the inauguration of the state executives and polling unit coordinators of Project Beyond 2027, a pro-Tinubu mobilization group.

He warned the party against repeating its performance in the 2023 presidential election, when President Bola Tinubu won only seven of the state’s 18 local government areas, while Peter Obi won 10 and Atiku Abubakar secured one.

Describing the result as a wake-up call, the minister said the new political structure must work with the state APC leadership to secure victory for Tinubu, Governor Bassey Otu, and other party candidates.

He urged the coordinators to mobilize support at the grassroots, particularly in wards, polling units, markets, and rural communities.

Owan-Enoh also called for stronger support in the Southern Senatorial District, where the APC struggled in the previous presidential election.

Speaking at the event, the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Industrial Training and Development, Adamson Oluwatosin Ayinde, said Project Beyond was established in 2021 to mobilize support for Tinubu.

The inauguration, held at Atu Field in Calabar South Local Government Area, featured the swearing-in of the state executives and polling unit coordinators.
