Lauren Bennett, a British pop singer best known for her vocals on LMFAO’s 2011 hit Party Rock Anthem, has died at the age of 36.

The news was confirmed on Monday in a statement shared on Instagram by her girl group, G.R.L.
“Our hearts are broken, and we can’t begin to express how much she meant to us,” the group said. “We will forever cherish the love, laughter, and countless memories she gave us. Rest peacefully, sweet Lauren. You will always be in our hearts.”
The cause of Bennett’s death has not been publicly confirmed. However, reports indicate that an inquest into the circumstances surrounding her death is scheduled for October, according to records from the Kent and Medway Coroner.
