Kwankwaso: Govt That Can’t Protect Lives Should Quit

Rabiu Kwankwaso, presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), has criticised the Federal Government over insecurity and unemployment, saying any government that fails to protect citizens and provide opportunities for them is irresponsible.

Kwankwaso spoke on Friday in Jos, Plateau State, at an event organised by the Middle Belt Youth Council for the Obi-Kwankwaso campaign team.

He lamented the decline of factories and industries, saying many businesses that previously provided jobs had shut down, leaving Nigerians with fewer employment opportunities.

“You can’t find any factory or industry that is working and can employ people in this country, including Plateau State,” he said.

Kwankwaso also condemned killings linked to banditry, Boko Haram insurgency and communal clashes, arguing that leaders must protect lives and property regardless of people’s religion, ethnicity or region.

“Any government that can’t do that isn’t a responsible government and doesn’t deserve to be in power again,” he said.

He urged Plateau residents to support the Obi-Kwankwaso ticket and other NDC candidates in the forthcoming elections, calling on voters to defend their votes.
