The Inspector-General of Police, Olukayode Disu, has approved a major redeployment of senior officers across the Nigeria Police Force in a move aimed at strengthening operations, enhancing leadership, and improving service delivery nationwide.

The development was disclosed in a statement on Tuesday by the Force Public Relations Officer, Anthony Okon Placid, who said the postings form part of ongoing efforts to ensure an effective command structure and strategic deployment of personnel across commands, formations, and departments.
According to the statement, several Assistant Inspectors-General of Police (AIGs) have been assigned to key departments at the Force Headquarters in Abuja. These include AIG Ado Emmanuel (Research and Planning), AIG Joseph Eribo (Armament), AIG Miller Dantawaye (Operations), and AIG Henry Ifeanyi Uche (Training and Development).
Other AIG postings include AIG Olohundare Moshood Jimoh to Zone 2, Lagos; AIG Simeon U. Akpanudom to FCID Annex, Lagos; AIG Haruna Olufemi to the Special Protection Unit, Abuja; AIG Olanrewaju Peter Ogunlowo to Police Accounts and Budget; and AIG Dahiru Mohammed to Zone 15, Maiduguri.
Similarly, AIG Dankombo Morris has been posted to Zone 4, Makurdi; AIG Bello Shehu to Zone 14, Katsina; AIG Ibrahim Balarabe Maikaba to Legal Services; and AIG Ahmed Musa to Community Policing at the Force Headquarters.
The reshuffle also affected several Commissioners of Police (CPs), with new postings to state commands and strategic units. CP Haruna Alaba Yahaya has been assigned to Jigawa State Command, CP Olugbenga Ayodeji Abimbola to Oyo State, CP Yemi John Oyeniyi to Delta State, CP Olubode Ojajuni to Ogun State, and CP Michael Adegoroye Falade to Ekiti State Command.
Others include CP Yakubu Useni Dankaro to Adamawa State, CP Muhammed Sanusi Ahmed to the Federal Capital Territory Command, CP Olatunji Olaiwola Fatai to Lagos State Command, CP Morkwap S. Dongshal to Taraba State, CP Ahmed Mohammed Bello to Zamfara State, CP Umar Ali Fagge to Katsina State, and CP Hayatu Shaffa Hassan to Sokoto State Command.
Additional deployments were made to specialised formations and departments. CP Akan Ezima was named Director of the NPF-NCCC in Abuja, while CP Ajo Geoffrey Ordue was posted to INTERPOL, Abuja. CP Moses Ashu Otta was assigned to SWAT, Abuja, alongside several others deployed to investigation units, training institutions, and administrative roles.
Further postings cover key units such as the Special Fraud Unit in Ikoyi, Police College Ikeja, K9 operations, Safer Highway patrol, and Community Safety and Crime Prevention departments, among others.
The police chief urged the affected officers to bring their experience to bear in their new roles and maintain high standards of professionalism, discipline, and service in the discharge of their duties.
