Governor Radda Commissions Matazu Projects, Dujima Promises 500 More Motorcycles

Katsina State Governor Radda has commissioned the Haj. Zulaihat Dikko Radda Skills Acquisition Centre, a Hisbah Division office, and two mass transit vehicles in Matazu Local Government Area.

Governor Radda also witnessed the distribution of 100 motorcycles and the launch of other empowerment initiatives during a ceremony at the Matazu Local Government Secretariat on Wednesday.

The governor said the interventions were aimed at promoting skills development, transportation, security, youth empowerment, and support for vulnerable residents.

He commended the member representing Musawa/Matazu Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Abdullahi Aliyu Ahmed, popularly known as Dujima, for his constituency projects and empowerment programs.

Dujima announced plans to provide an additional 500 motorcycles to beneficiaries across Matazu and Musawa and disclosed that 560 employment opportunities had been secured for constituents, including efforts to facilitate permanent and pensionable appointments for qualified beneficiaries.

Governor Radda described the initiatives as examples of collaboration between government and elected representatives to expand economic opportunities at the grassroots.

The governor also acknowledged the support provided by the Gwagware Foundation of the First Lady, Haj. Zulaihat Dikko Radda, to caregivers of orphans and other vulnerable people.

Dujima said his interventions were designed to complement government efforts and provide constituents with means of livelihood and employment opportunities. He urged beneficiaries to use the support productively and promote peace and development in their communities.

The Chairman of Matazu Local Government Council, Hon. Shamsuddeen Muhammad, said the council had also provided the Hisbah office, two motorcycles, and two mass transit vehicles.

He added that the council supported 500 women, 250 youths, and 250 elders with cash empowerment and distributed 30 smartphones to social media activists.

The event was attended by government officials, local government chairmen, traditional and religious leaders, APC officials, community representatives, and other stakeholders.
