Falz Urges Nigerians to Reject Apathy, Vote in 2027

Nigerian entertainer and activist Folarin Falana has called on citizens to become more actively engaged in the lead-up to the 2027 general elections, stressing the importance of voter participation.

Speaking during an interview on Prime Time on Arise Television, Falana said Nigerians need to show greater urgency and accountability in the democratic process.

He argued that widespread apathy benefits politicians, who often attempt to discourage voter confidence. According to him, the prevalence of vote buying and election manipulation efforts demonstrates that votes do, in fact, carry significant weight.

Falana emphasized that first-time voters will play a critical role, noting that a strong, unified voter turnout could make electoral malpractice more difficult.

He urged citizens not only to speak out against poor governance but also to take responsibility by participating actively at the ballot box.
