Bursaspor head coach Mustafa Er has praised Nigerian striker Kelechi Iheanacho for his impressive start at the Turkish club, saying the forward is delivering the goals the team expected.

Iheanacho joined Bursaspor on a free transfer from Celtic during the summer and has quickly become a key figure in the club’s promotion campaign.
The Super Eagles striker has scored 12 goals and provided two assists in nine league appearances, according to available statistics.
“We transferred Iheanacho so that he would score goals. We worked very hard for that transfer. We also need to thank our management,” Er said.
The coach added that several clubs were interested in signing Iheanacho, but Bursaspor’s stature played a significant role in attracting him to the club.
“There was a lot of demand for him. The size of the club was also very important in his choosing us. We are getting the contribution we want,” Er said.
Iheanacho’s goalscoring form has strengthened Bursaspor’s push for promotion to the Turkish top flight.
