Brazil Stumble: Ancelotti Reveals What Went Wrong in Morocco Draw

Brazil head coach Carlo Ancelotti has attributed his side’s 1-1 draw against Morocco in their 2026 World Cup opener to a lack of composure and poor control, particularly in the first half.

Morocco went ahead through Ismael Saibari before Vinícius Júnior restored parity for Brazil.

Speaking after the match, Ancelotti noted that his players struggled to maintain possession and appeared unsettled during the opening stages, which affected their overall structure on the pitch.

He, however, praised the team’s improved display after the break, stating that Brazil showed better organisation and intensity in the second half.

Despite the disappointing result, the Italian tactician expressed confidence that the team would respond positively in their next fixture.

Brazil will face Haiti in their upcoming match, while Morocco are scheduled to take on Scotland.
