AVA Capital Plc is set to list on the Nigerian Exchange Limited (NGX) on Friday through a Listing by Introduction, marking a strategic move to strengthen its market presence and institutional profile.

The integrated financial services group, which operates across investment banking, asset management, securities trading, and trusteeship, said the listing is not aimed at raising fresh capital but at enhancing transparency and visibility in the public market.
Managing Director Olukayode Fadahunsi described the move as a natural step in the company’s growth. He noted that AVA Capital is entering the market with an established foundation and a commitment to accountability.
“This listing reflects our long-term vision to deepen trust, improve governance, and position the company for sustained growth,” he said.
According to the company, about 20 percent of its shares are already held outside its controlling shareholder structure, meeting NGX’s free-float requirements. The listing is expected to align AVA Capital more closely with regulatory standards while widening investor access.
Fadahunsi added that the success of the listing would be measured not by capital raised, but by the level of investor engagement and the company’s ability to deliver long-term value.
Industry observers say the move highlights a broader trend among indigenous financial institutions toward stronger corporate governance, increased transparency, and deeper participation in Nigeria’s capital market.
