AA Raises Alarm Over ‘Missing Names,’ Issues 48-Hour Ultimatum

The Action Alliance (AA) has given the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) 48 hours to revise its published list of candidates for the 2027 general elections, alleging the omission of its nominees.

In a statement issued on Sunday, AA National Chairman Chief Kenneth Udeze said the party’s candidates, nominated by its National Executive Committee, were excluded despite a Court of Appeal ruling affirming his leadership.

Udeze argued that the omission violates provisions of the Electoral Act 2022, noting that the party conducted its primaries within the legally approved timeframe.

He urged INEC to urgently correct the list to reflect AA’s candidates, warning that the party would pursue legal action if its demands are not met.

The party also called on civil society groups, the media, and other stakeholders to monitor the situation closely.
