A fire outbreak has engulfed the popular SPAR shopping mall in Calabar, Cross River State, on Saturday morning.
The fire reportedly started inside the mall, sending thick smoke over the surrounding area, while flames could be seen from Barracks Road.
Firefighters have arrived at the scene and are battling to contain the blaze. The Cross River State Ministry of Information reported that an explosion was heard within the shopping complex before the fire broke out.
