Victor Osimhen has moved into third place on Galatasaray’s all-time list of highest-scoring foreign players after helping the Turkish champions beat Erzurumspor 4-0 on Friday.

The Nigeria international scored twice in the second half to take his Galatasaray tally to 62 goals in 76 appearances, moving ahead of former Czech striker Milan Baros, who scored 61 goals for the club.
Osimhen now trails only Mauro Icardi, who leads the ranking with 77 goals, and Gheorghe Hagi, who has 72.
The 27-year-old also has 16 assists for Galatasaray and has made a strong start to the new Süper Lig season.
His brace against Erzurumspor took his league tally to four goals in two matches, making him the first Galatasaray player since Mario Jardel in the 2000/01 season to score at least four goals across the opening two league games of a campaign.
Galatasaray’s victory was their first of the new league season, with Roland Sallai and Yunus Akgün also finding the net.
