Eleven students of Kwara State University (KWASU), Malete, have been remanded at the Ilorin Custodial Centre over alleged involvement in cult-related activities and an attempted homicide.

The suspects were remanded on Friday following an order by a Kwara State High Court sitting in Ilorin.
According to reports, the students were apprehended by the university’s security personnel and handed over to the Kwara State Police Command after allegedly attacking a fellow student.
The victim is currently receiving treatment at an undisclosed medical facility.
When contacted, the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Adetoun Ejire-Adeyemi, said she was not yet briefed on the incident but would provide updates as more information becomes available.
