A woman was allegedly killed by a man who took her to a hotel in Girei, near Yola, Adamawa State, on Friday.
The woman, whose identity had not been established at the time of filing this report, was reportedly found with a severe injury to her neck after the man was heard arguing with her inside the hotel room.
Sources said people in the area heard sounds of a fight from the room and forced their way in, where they found the woman lying in a pool of blood.
The suspect was reportedly apprehended by members of the public and handed over to the police, who took over the investigation. The victim’s remains were also removed from the hotel.
The Adamawa State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje, was contacted over the incident shortly before 7:30pm on Friday. Further details were awaited at the time of filing.
