Nollywood actor and filmmaker Kunle Afod has opened up about his separation from his wife, Desola Afod, popularly known as Celeb Wife, months after reports of their marital crisis emerged.
Afod spoke during an interview with YouTube host Kasnasty Sugar, where he was asked about the reason for their separation.
The actor attributed the breakdown of the relationship to jealousy, suspicions of infidelity, and the challenges of balancing his acting career with family life.
He said his profession was demanding and sometimes left him with little time for his home.
Afod also spoke about what he described as double standards in relationships, questioning why some women who use sex toys would object to their husbands doing the same.
He further suggested that suspicions of cheating could arise when a wife becomes unusually close to a female friend.
Reports of trouble in the couple’s marriage emerged in February 2026 after claims that Desola had moved her belongings out of their matrimonial home.
Although both parties had previously made social media posts amid the speculation, Afod’s latest interview marks his public acknowledgement of their separation.
Desola has yet to publicly respond to his latest comments.
