Blessing CEO Apologizes for Mocking Others’ Pain After Son’s Death

Nigerian social media personality Blessing Okoro, popularly known as Blessing CEO, has apologized to Nigerians for her past comments about other people’s suffering, admitting that she now understands the pain she once dismissed.

Blessing made the apology in an emotional Instagram video on Tuesday, November 3, 2026, where she broke down in tears while reflecting on her mistakes and the death of her nine-year-old son, Bryan.

She admitted that she had spoken carelessly about experiences she had never personally endured and appealed to those she had hurt to forgive her.

“I am so sorry for speaking about the pains I have never felt carelessly. I am sorry to everyone I have hurt with words and actions. Now I can feel every bit of your pain that I once mocked,” she said.

Describing her current struggles as the price of her mistakes, Blessing said she felt broken and emotionally exhausted, asking Nigerians to pray for her.

She also addressed her late son, expressing how much she missed him and promising to make amends for her past mistakes.

Her apology comes amid renewed scrutiny of her previous comments about the late Bimbo Ogbonna, the former wife of her partner, businessman Ikechukwu Ogbonna, popularly known as IVD.

Blessing had faced widespread criticism for remarks perceived as mocking Bimbo during the controversy surrounding her death and alleged domestic violence.

Her apology came shortly after IVD also issued a public message seeking forgiveness from his family, friends, and business partners over past mistakes.

The two apologies have drawn attention on social media, particularly amid the controversies surrounding their relationship.
