WAFCON 2026: Cameroon Ready to “Give Everything” Against Nigeria

Cameroon midfielder Naomi Eto has said the Indomitable Lionesses will give their all when they face defending champions Nigeria in the quarter-finals of the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON).

The highly anticipated clash will take place in Casablanca on Sunday, with both sides among Africa’s top women’s football nations.

Nigeria, record WAFCON champions, head into the fixture as favorites and boast a strong historical record against Cameroon in the competition.

However, Eto remains confident her team can compete strongly.

“Nigeria has great qualities, but a match is decided on the pitch. We will give everything,” she said.

Cameroon reached the knockout stage unbeaten, finishing top of their group with two wins and a draw.

The winner of the tie will advance to the semi-finals, where they will face either hosts Morocco or South Africa.
