Troops of Operation Fansan Yamma have rescued nine kidnapped victims and recovered 108 livestock during security operations in Danko-Wasagu Local Government Area of Kebbi State.

The operations, conducted by troops of Sector 2 around Danko, Sabon Tunga, and Binoni communities, led to the recovery of 34 cows and 74 rams.
According to a military statement, the first operation followed a distress call reporting that suspected bandits had invaded communities in the area, abducted residents, and rustled livestock.
The troops reportedly engaged the attackers in a gun battle, forcing them to flee and abandon their captives.
Two victims, identified as Barbuga Bawashe, 26, and Barka Dakaji, 61, were rescued during the operation, while the livestock were recovered.
In a separate operation, seven other victims were rescued around Sabon Tunga and Binoni. The military said they had spent several months in captivity before escaping amid sustained operations by troops.
The rescued victims were identified as Muhammad Dogonta, 60; Zakari Yahu, 32; Basara Sheu, 10; Adam Shehu, 12; Hatsat Umar, 14; Albaria Hamsu, 12; and Yehusa Lawali, 35.
They were subsequently handed over to the District Head of Unashi for reunion with their families.
The military said the operations were part of ongoing efforts to combat banditry, protect communities, and restore security across the North-West.
