Troops of Sector 8, Operation ENDURING PEACE, have foiled an attempted attack on Manja community in Mangu Local Government Area of Plateau State.
The incident occurred on Thursday, August 20, after troops received information about armed men moving with cattle in the area and allegedly destroying farmlands.
The troops swiftly deployed and made contact with the group, forcing the suspects to flee into nearby bushes with their cattle, according to security analyst Zagazola Makama.
Security forces subsequently intensified patrols and offensive operations around Manja to prevent the suspects from regrouping or launching another attack.
The operation is part of ongoing efforts by troops to protect vulnerable communities in Mangu and maintain security in the area.
