The personal assistant to Nigerian gospel singer Olayemi Bayonile Bolaji, popularly known as Toluwanisings, says the singer was taken to seven or eight hospitals in Ibadan, Oyo State, after suddenly collapsing, but efforts to secure medical attention were unsuccessful.

Babadunni Gbolabo said some hospitals reportedly cited a doctors’ strike, while others refused to admit the singer.
Speaking on Thursday, Gbolabo said the singer appeared healthy before he suddenly slumped on Wednesday morning, October 14, 2026. He added that attempts were made to revive him before he was taken to several hospitals.
Toluwanisings’ family confirmed his death on Wednesday but did not disclose the cause. The gospel minister was known for songs including A Very Big God and Onibuore.
The singer had reportedly ministered at a worship programme in Ibadan on Tuesday night, hours before his death.
His family said funeral arrangements would be announced later.
