Tinubu to Launch Re-election Campaign in Kaduna October 24

President Bola Tinubu will launch his 2027 re-election campaign in Kaduna on October 24, Director-General of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council, Senator Abdulaziz Yari, has said.

Yari disclosed this on Friday after briefing Tinubu at the Presidential Villa in Abuja on preparations for the campaign and planned state visits.

He said the campaign council’s inaugural meeting would hold on October 14 at the State House Banquet Hall, adding that the President had approved the proposed campaign schedule.

According to Yari, Port Harcourt, Rivers State, and Maiduguri, Borno State, will be among the next stops after Kaduna. He said the full itinerary would be released after the council’s inauguration.

Yari expressed confidence in Tinubu’s chances of securing re-election, arguing that a presidential candidate needed support across both northern and southern Nigeria to win.

He also defended the administration’s record, saying the government had made progress on the economy and would continue its policies.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has scheduled the presidential and National Assembly elections for January 16, 2027. Presidential campaigns officially began on August 19, according to the commission’s timetable.
