The Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) has rescheduled the Matchday Two Lagos derby between Sporting Lagos and Ikorodu City for September 30, 2026.
The fixture was originally scheduled for Sunday, September 6, at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan, but was postponed because the stadium was unavailable due to a political event.
Sporting Lagos confirmed that the derby will now take place on Wednesday, September 30. The NPFL is expected to announce the kick-off time and final venue details in due course.
Both teams began the 2026/27 campaign with contrasting results. Sporting Lagos suffered a 2-0 defeat to Doma United, while Ikorodu City beat newly promoted Ranchers Bees 3-1.
