Real Madrid have completed the signing of Portugal international Bernardo Silva on a two-year deal following the expiration of his contract with Manchester City.

The Spanish club confirmed the agreement on Wednesday, stating that the midfielder will remain at the Santiago Bernabéu until June 2028.
Silva departs City after a highly successful nine-year spell, during which he made 459 appearances and scored 76 goals. The 31-year-old was instrumental in one of the most dominant eras in the club’s history.
During his time in England, he secured 15 major honours, including four consecutive Premier League titles between 2021 and 2024, as well as a historic treble in 2023.
His move forms part of a broader rebuilding effort at Real Madrid following two seasons without major silverware. Club president Florentino Perez recently oversaw managerial changes, with Jose Mourinho returning to lead the team.
Madrid have also strengthened their squad with the recent acquisition of Marc Cucurella, while additional reinforcements are expected ahead of the new season.
