Nigerian dancer and hypeman Poco Lee has reportedly been released from custody in the United Kingdom, social media influencer Peller has claimed.
Peller made the claim during a livestream on Friday, saying the woman who allegedly brought the case against Poco Lee had withdrawn from it.
“Poco Lee is out,” Peller said, adding that the complainant’s decision to drop the case led to his release.
However, the claim has not been independently confirmed by the UK court or prosecution authorities.
The Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) said the case remains active and that Poco Lee, whose real name is Iweh Odinaka, is still scheduled to appear before Snaresbrook Crown Court on September 15 for a plea and trial preparation hearing.
The court had earlier confirmed that Poco Lee faces five sexual offence charges, one count of attempted rape, two counts of rape and two counts of assault by penetration. He remains presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
The CPS has not disclosed whether Poco Lee has been released on bail or remains in custody.
