Nigerian dancer and hypeman Iweh Odinaka, popularly known as Poco Lee, has spoken about his recent ordeal in the United Kingdom, insisting that he did nothing wrong.
Poco Lee made the remarks during a video call with social media activist VeryDarkMan, where he also thanked singer Burna Boy and entertainer Rahman Jago for supporting him.
“I was being myself; God sees my heart. My only worry out there was my people,” he said.
The dancer said he would have accepted the consequences if he had committed the alleged offence but maintained that his conscience was clear.
Poco Lee also advised men to be more cautious in their dealings with women, saying, “Use 18 hours fear women.”
Poco Lee’s comments come amid ongoing legal proceedings in the UK. Snaresbrook Crown Court confirmed that he faces five sexual offence charges, one count of attempted rape, two counts of rape, and two counts of assault by penetration. He is due to appear in court on September 15 for a plea and trial preparation hearing.
The Crown Prosecution Service has said the case remains live, while Poco Lee remains legally presumed innocent unless proven guilty.
