Inter Women have completed the signing of Super Falcons midfielder Toni Payne on a two-year contract running until June 2028.
The 31-year-old joins from English Women’s Super League side Everton, marking the latest move in her European career.
Payne began her professional journey in the Netherlands with Ajax before spending six years at Spanish club Sevilla. She moved to Everton in 2023 and now links up with the Italian side as they strengthen their squad ahead of the new season.
On the international stage, Payne was part of Nigeria’s team that won a record-extending 10th Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) title in 2024. She has also been named in the Super Falcons squad for the upcoming 2026 WAFCON finals by head coach Justine Madugu.
Her arrival is expected to add experience and versatility to Inter Women’s midfield.
