Veteran Nollywood actress Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde has revealed that she turned down several lucrative offers, including political opportunities, because accepting them would have compromised her principles.

The actress made the disclosure while speaking on the Afropolitan podcast, where she reflected on some of the difficult choices she has made throughout her career.
Omotola said she could have become a billionaire if she had been willing to compromise her values for financial gain.
“If I wanted to be a billionaire, I would have been one easily,” she said, adding that she had repeatedly walked away from offers that could have paid her handsomely.
According to the actress, some of the opportunities were not necessarily wrong but could have undermined her beliefs and diluted the message she represents.
She said this included offers connected to politics, which she rejected despite the financial benefits they could have brought.
Omotola added that while turning down such opportunities sometimes leaves her disappointed financially, she often experiences what she described as a “financial miracle” afterwards.
