A procurement officer with the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC), Glory Boluwarin Olaoluwa, has presented a research paper on reducing costs and carbon emissions in downstream supply chains at the 2026 Abu Dhabi International Petroleum Exhibition and Conference (ADIPEC).

Olaoluwa’s paper, titled “The Dual-Engine Cognitive Framework with Human Arbitration (DECF-HA): A Resilient and Low-Carbon Architecture for Downstream Supply Chains,” was selected for the conference’s Downstream Technical Program.
Her presentation examined how energy companies can combine technology and human judgment to improve supply chain decisions, cut emissions, and maintain reliable supplies despite shipping disruptions and extreme weather.
The technical session was chaired by Dr. Ahmad Salem of Baker Hughes and Nimit Shah of KBR.
NNPC’s Executive Vice President, Downstream, Dr Mumuni Dagazau, congratulated Olaoluwa on the recognition, describing her research as an innovative approach to low-carbon decision-making in downstream supply chains.
He said her selection had showcased NNPC’s technical expertise and capacity for innovation to an international audience.
ADIPEC 2026 is holding from November 2 to 5 at the ADNEC Centre in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, bringing together energy industry leaders, companies, and technical experts to discuss emerging challenges and innovations in the sector.
