Nigerian rapper Olanrewaju Ogunmefun has shared that he met his wife, Yinka Coker, in a nightclub, challenging common stereotypes about relationships formed in such settings.
Speaking on the MENtality Podcast, co-hosted by Ebuka Obi-Uchendu and Banky W, the rapper said his wife defies the belief that people met in clubs may not make ideal partners.
Vector described his wife as “super homely,” noting that their first interaction stood out when she impressed him by rapping lyrics by Heavy D.
He used his experience to emphasize that people should not rely solely on societal advice when choosing a life partner.
“You can’t take advice when it comes to a life partner… You can listen to a few people, but ultimately decide what works for you,” he said.
Vector and Coker got married in a civil ceremony in December 2022 and have a daughter together.
