The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has congratulated Super Eagles midfielder Alex Iwobi after he reached 328 Premier League appearances, becoming the joint-second most-featured African player in the competition’s history.

Iwobi achieved the milestone during Fulham’s 1-0 victory over Coventry City on Saturday, drawing level with Egyptian forward Mohamed Salah, according to the NFF.
Acting NFF General Secretary, Emmanuel Ikpeme, praised the 30-year-old and expressed hope that he would break the African appearance record.
“The NFF celebrates Alex Iwobi for this new achievement and we wish him even greater glory,” Ikpeme said.
Former Ivory Coast international Kolo Touré holds the record with 353 Premier League appearances, leaving Iwobi 25 matches short of equalling the mark.
Iwobi began his professional career at Arsenal before playing for Everton and joining Fulham, where he continues to build his Premier League record.
