New Abuja Road to Boost Trade, Cut Travel Time — Tinubu

President Bola Tinubu has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to sustained infrastructure development in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) and across Nigeria

Speaking during the commissioning of the rehabilitated Old Keffi Road linking Kado to Dei-Dei, Tinubu urged citizens to support government efforts to drive national development.

Represented by Senate President Godswill Akpabio at the event marking his third year in office, the president said the project would boost economic activities and improve connectivity in the area.

He noted that the road links key communities, including Kado, Saburi, Gwagwa, Idu, and Karmo, to the Outer Northern Expressway, reducing travel time and transport costs while easing the movement of goods and workers.

“This project will stimulate local markets, improve mobility and enhance productivity for residents,” he said.

Tinubu also highlighted ongoing efforts to improve safety and commerce through initiatives such as expanded street lighting across Abuja, commending FCT Minister Nyesom Wike for the “Light Up Abuja” project.

He called on residents to protect public infrastructure by avoiding vandalism and maintaining proper sanitation, stressing that community ownership is key to the longevity of such projects.

The president reiterated that his administration would continue delivering infrastructure across the FCT, including satellite communities, as part of efforts to promote inclusive growth.

Recent project inaugurations in Abuja are part of a broader push by the administration to improve connectivity, stimulate economic activity, and enhance living conditions in the capital.
