Morocco Cruise Past Canada to Reach 2026 World Cup Quarter-Finals

Morocco have become the first team to qualify for the quarter-finals of the 2026 FIFA World Cup after a convincing 3–0 victory over co-hosts Canada on Saturday.

Following a goalless first half in which Canada put up strong resistance, Morocco took control after the break. Azzedine Ounahi scored twice in the second half, while Soufiane Rahimi added a late goal to seal the win.

The Atlas Lions are one of only two African teams to reach the Round of 16, alongside Egypt. They will face either France or Paraguay in the quarter-finals.
