Algerian club MC Alger have held a crisis meeting to rally their players ahead of Friday’s CAF Champions League second-leg clash against Nigeria’s Rangers, vowing to overturn a 2-0 first-leg defeat.

The meeting, convened by captain Ayoub Abdelouali and head coach Ben Yahia, saw the players pledge to fight for victory in the return leg scheduled for October 23 in Algiers.
MC Alger need to win by at least three goals to overturn the deficit and secure qualification for the group stage.
The meeting followed a separate session with the club’s management, which urged the players to give their all and make amends for the defeat suffered at the Moshood Abiola Sports Arena in Abeokuta.
The winner on aggregate over the two legs will advance to the group stage of the competition.
