Real Madrid forward Kylian Mbappe has said he would not advise France teammate Michael Olise to leave Bayern Munich for the Spanish giants.
Olise was heavily linked with a move to Real Madrid during the summer transfer window but remained at Bayern. The German club has repeatedly ruled out his departure and confirmed that he remains under contract until 2029.
Speaking to Bild, Mbappe said advising Olise to leave Bayern would be disrespectful to the Bundesliga club.
“I saw the links, but I think it would be disrespectful to advise a player to leave. That would be unfair to Bayern,” Mbappe said.
He added that Bayern is a club where Olise can continue to achieve major things, while praising the winger’s quality.
“Every club in the world would love to have Michael Olise. He is an outstanding player,” he said.
Bayern sporting director Max Eberl also recently revealed that Olise never asked to leave the club for Real Madrid despite the transfer speculation.
Bayern are now considering extending the 24-year-old’s contract beyond 2029, although no formal talks over a new deal have yet begun.
